The Health Center Association of Nebraska has 7 members in Omaha, Gering, Columbus, Grand Island, Norfolk and Lincoln as well as an associate member in Council Bluffs, Iowa. These Federally Qualified Health Centers are “local, non-profit community owned health care providers serving low income Nebraskans and medically underserved communities.” HCAN works to enhance and expand access to quality, community-responsive health care. HCAN members offer healthcare on a sliding scale to the uninsured of Nebraska they provide “the same high quality, affordable healthcare to anyone regardless of who they are or how much they can pay.” Their website provides resources for both health centers and Nebraskans seeking affordable and quality care. Also importantly they offer links to job possibilities and information on how to get health insurance.
