Before you vote

Check your voter registration

Make sure you are registered to vote and your information is current. Use the Nebraska Voter Information Lookup to verify your information: votercheck.necvr.ne.gov

Register to vote

Online. Register online at Rock The Vote by October 18th: register.rockthevote.com/registrants/new?partner=38422&source=cgtv

By Mail. Submit an early voting application by October 18th: sos.nebraska.gov/elections/voter-forms

In Person. Visit your local county election commissioner’s office during normal business hours by October 25th. Find your county election commission: sos.nebraska.gov/elections/election-officials-contact-information

  • Complete your ballot. Be sure to sign the back of the return envelope—your signature is how your vote is verified. 
  • Mail it back to your county election commission with a regular postage stamp by November 1. 
  • Or return your ballot to one of the available drop boxes. Drop box locations will be sent with your ballot. Find a drop box near you: sos.nebraska.gov/elections/nebraska-drop-box-locator
  • Your ballot must be received by the election commission by 8 pm CT on Election Day

Early In Person

Vote at the election commission office starting October 7th through November 4th during regular business hours. Find your county election commission: sos.nebraska.gov/elections/election-officials-contact-information

On Election Day

Go to your polling place on November 5 between 8:00 am- 8:00 pm CT. Find your polling place: votercheck.necvr.ne.gov
