MY OMAHA is a film about people — their dignity, complexity, and capacity to connect across differences. It comes at a critical moment in U.S. history, when meaningful conversation across divides feels rare but is more important than ever.

Join us on Sunday, October 11th starting at 3:30 pm CT for a special free virtual screening of MY OMAHA to dig into how we can create change together in our communities, starting with vital discussion about what matters to us most in communities across the state of Nebraska.

We'll be joined by director, writer, and producer of MY OMAHA Nick Beaulieu and Omaha organizer Leo Louis II for a vital discussion immediately following the screening to explore how we are shaped by place, history and experience. This discussion will be moderated by Candide Villard of Calling Creatives.

Set in Omaha, Nebraska — where the legacies of Malcolm X, racial segregation, and political division still shape everyday life — MY OMAHA follows filmmaker Nick Beaulieu as he documents his city’s racial justice movement while attempting to reconnect with his terminally ill father Randy, a staunch Trump supporter. As activist Leo Louis II draws Nick deeper into North Omaha’s struggle and resilience, the film becomes an intimate portrait of family, race, and the uneasy search for truth inside modern America.

Reserve your tickets today via Kinema for this free virtual screening and film discussion with the creator of MY OMAHA.
