As part of our mission to develop the next generation of nonprofit leaders in Nebraska, The Nebraska Civic Engagement Table offers a robust internship program. This paid internship program is open to students, recent graduates or any person seeking experience in field organizing and/or communications work as it relates to civic engagement, advocacy, public policy and nonprofit leadership.
Candidates should have an interest in nonprofit advocacy and/or civic engagement, have basic computer skills, and be adaptable, enthusiastic, and enjoy working with the public. Successful candidates will also exhibit enthusiasm for creating meaningful change in Nebraska. Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.
Part-time with a minimum of 12 hours/week. This position will require evening and weekend availability. The Table will be flexible with the intern’s schedule.
This grant funded position provides a $500 monthly stipend, to be paid at the end of each month of the 3-month program for a total of $1,500.
Every year, the three 12-week programs run January-April; May-August; and September-December.
