Every single Nebraskan deserves freedom, dignity, and safety. A ballot initiative named “Fairness for Girls” attempts to strip important, personal decisions away from parents, schools, and medical professionals and hand them over to politicians in order to ban transgender students from participating in school sports. This kind of government overreach does not make families safer or stronger.
This initiative puts minors at risk of invasive inspections and humiliating scrutiny. Instead of focusing on the actual issues impacting Nebraska families every day, the FFG initiative is more concerned with inserting the government into family health care.
Nebraskans value personal freedom and the rights of families to make private decisions without political interference. Every parent wants to see their child have the opportunity to participate in the activities that help them thrive. This initiative isn’t about sports; it’s about inserting the government into families’ health care choices.
Petition circulators are currently gathering signatures across Nebraska for the ballot initiative “Fairness for Girls”. If enough signatures are collected by July 2026, this initiative could appear on the November ballot and permanently write a ban on transgender students participating in school sports into our state constitution.
Not sure which petition it is? Look for this language on the top of the petition sheet:
"The object of this petition is to amend the Nebraska Constitution to establish constitutional protections for sex-separate athletics to ensure equal access to athletic opportunities for females."
Parents know their kids best, and Nebraska families are under enough pressure as is without politicians restricting their choices to help their children thrive.
Speak out against government overreach. DECLINE TO SIGN the “Fairness for Girls” petition and share information with your community on this harmful effort.
